Siebel Ferry SF 40 Light Flak Barge (1/300)
thingiverse
The original Siebel Ferry design was specifically intended for Operation Sealion, a proposed amphibious invasion of Britain. Developed in a rush, this vessel was actually constructed from two heavy bridging pontoons connected by steel girders. Although the operation they were designed for never materialized, Siebel Ferries went on to fill a variety of roles throughout the war. They served as transports, flak ships, gunboats, convoy escorts and minelayers. This model depicts an SF-40 Siebel Ferry with a light flak load out - light meaning small caliber, but it's very heavily armed. I discovered this specific variant when my poor little ship was blown to pieces in War Thunder. Since then, I've managed to track down photos of it from 1942 on Lake Ladoga. The files included are: Siebel Ferry 40 Flak Armed: The Siebel with armaments in place - four quad 20mms and a 37mm gun Siebel Ferry 40 Flak: the same model with guns removed for separate printing 3.7 cm M42 on LM42U Mount: The 37mm flak gun that goes on the middle platform 20mm Flak Gun on Quad Mount - Raised: The quad 20mms, one in each of the corner platforms
