Siebe helmet
sketchfab
In the 1830s, the Deane brothers commissioned Siebe to develop an underwater version of their smoke helmet design. He soon found himself producing more helmets for diving operations on behalf of the brothers. Drawing inspiration from improvements already implemented by George Edwards, Siebe created his own innovative design; a helmet designed to be worn with a full-length watertight canvas diving suit. The key to the equipment's success lay in a valve located within the helmet itself. This model provides complete accessibility to all components, allowing users to customize it according to their specific needs and preferences.
