I didn't like having to adjust the filament holder bracket for different width spools, so I created this solution. Eventually, I plan to mount a filament roll holder on a shelf above my printer to minimize weight on top extrusion, but for now, this setup will work just fine. Parts print exactly as loaded in the files and can be printed without any supports. The towers require FOUR M5x10mm screws and washers and utilize the stock T-nuts already on the back side of the top extrusion. OPTIONAL: You can attach the filament sensor mount to the left tower with a M5x15mm screw, washer, and a T-nut. See photo for placement details. The filament sensor metal shaft will require an M3x8mm screw. To complete the setup, you'll need to cut a 1-1/4" (ID) PVC pipe to your desired length. Measure the widest spool of filament you use and add 40mm to that measurement for the length of the PVC pipe. This will position the filament sensor near the center of the spools. Simply drop the PVC pipe between the two mounts. NOTE: I'm aware of some ringing and other print defects on certain parts, but I haven't fine-tuned my printer yet to eliminate these issues (such as linear advance and jerk settings). These were among my initial prints.
