Sidewinder X1 PTFE Filament Feeder
thingiverse
I crafted this solution to address my recurring z-layer inconsistencies, which I attribute to the filament feeding from above and an x-axis that can subtly torque around the z-axis. The models were built around a X1 design I downloaded from GrabCAD. Since that upgrade, my printer hasn't been printing with absolute precision, so I'm unsure if the part fits perfectly. However, it did require some light sanding on two edges to ensure a snug fit, which may also be a contributing factor to my inconsistent prints. This project is still in development and might not align perfectly with your machine's specifications. Nevertheless, it is functional. Assembly requires several M3 screws and nuts.
