Sidewinder X1 - Firmware flash helper (cut the display connection)
thingiverse
This adapter disconnects the TFT display from the mainboard, allowing firmware flashing without interruptions and without needing to unplug the cable each time on the Artillery Sidewinder X1. The DIP switch can be accessed through the ventilation grille using a screwdriver. Two parts make up this construction: the main connector/switch assembly and the printed part. The connector/switch assembly is geared towards advanced users due to its electronic components that must be crimped and soldered together. This solution is designed for use with newer connection cables featuring four wires, as opposed to older flat band cables. It may also work with the older cable type, but this has not been tested and likely requires modifications to the printed part where the cable connects to the adapter's connector. When using this switch, remember that it must only be changed on/off while the printer is powered off. Additionally, always change the state of all four switches simultaneously. The FreeCAD 0.18 file for this project is included.
