Sidewinder Simple Fan Shroud
thingiverse
Hello. After mastering Fusion 360, I designed 14 prototypes of fan shrouds for standard fans. This is the outcome of testing each of my prototypes. These designs should work at least as well as Shakies' shroud but are easier to print. I didn't like the clip version, so I chose an "adhesive" version instead. There are adhesives that resemble rubber and can be used to attach them directly to the fan. (I glued and unglued 14 shrouds without damaging anything.) Edit: I adjusted the curve of the left arm, as it was a bit too high, which didn't prevent its function but pressed against the sheet. Then I decreased the overall height by 1mm, following reports from artillery experts that it wouldn't fit otherwise. Now it should be compatible with both SWX1 and Genius fans. Edit2: My sheet appears to be slightly misaligned. The SWX1 shroud measures 18.7mm in height, measured to the fan. If it doesn't fit on your Sidewinder, simply print the Genius version, which is 17mm in height and should fit perfectly, as reported by members of the German Artillery Group on Facebook. Sorry for the multiple edits; sometimes unexpected issues arise. Edit 3: I deleted the other non-functional designs, and the Genius design works with both SWX1 normal and Genius fans. You can find the .f3d file here for your convenience. Greetings
