Sidewinder case - door for access of mainboard and displaycable
cults3d
I made a door instead of the grid for ventilation in my Sidewinder case, placing it to the right when viewed from the front. This simplifies access to the mainboard and the cable that connects to the displayboard, making firmware flashing unnecessary. I secured it with velcro after removing the original grid. The door provides superior ventilation compared to the original grid when opened but also offers additional protection against dust and fingers when closed. It allows you to monitor the status LEDs on the mainboard during printing. For firmware flashing on my Sidewinder X1, start by opening the small door with the printer turned off, then pull out the cable connected to the display board. Next, plug in the USB cable for flashing, and once done, simply reconnect the display connection cable and turn the printer back on.
