I'm currently using PETG, which should provide the perfect balance of stiffness and flexibility to withstand a light impact without sustaining any damage. I'd love for you to test it out and share your results with me. Compared to the original fragile carbon plates, this upgrade adds only 1g to the total weight, making it a much more practical solution. Plus, the new material is far easier to find than those elusive carbon plates. I've also taken some extra steps to reinforce certain weak areas, adding a bit of thickness where needed and giving the stack a little more breathing room. While it's not strictly necessary to have separate right and left sides, I've designed this part to be universal, so you can use either side as you see fit. I'm particularly fond of the smooth finish that my hot plate leaves behind - it really adds to the visual appeal!
