Side mounted Ditto Plus Cooling Fan
thingiverse
I made changes to a file I got from Tinkerine. The bottom mounting holes on my printer were no longer holding up the fan duct properly. To fix this, I swapped out the mount to use the side mounting holes instead. So far, it's working much better. Previously, I was always struggling with the fan dangling down and bumping into the print in progress. It seems that the original mounting holes might have been overtightened. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Tinkertine Studio Printer: Ditto + Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 25 Notes: A few loose threads don't bother me too much - I'm mainly focused on keeping the fan steady so it doesn't snag on the print job. Now that my cooling fan is working again, I might reprint to get a neater result. How I Designed This: Google Sketchup was where it started for me. I began with an STL provided by Tinkerine and added some simple supports and verticals in sketch-up to alter how it attaches.
