Bedside Light System
https://tinkersprojects.com/ I've been in need of new lights beside my bed for some time now, and I finally came up with a plan to make my own. My goal was to create a light that can be turned on/off from any connected power source. For this project, I chose to use an Arduino UNO (ATMEGA328P) to control the power and lighting. This controller will connect to a PC ATX power supply unit. To conserve energy and prevent constant power consumption, the controller can turn the power on and off as needed. The controller runs on the PC ATX PSU's standby 5V power source and controls the PSU. The lights use a PWM signal from the microcontroller to fade up and down smoothly. The Arduino uses an LED Fading library found here to control the value of the PWM for each light. Each light is powered by a PNP transistor controlled by the microcontroller. Most of the parts were manufactured on my CNC machine, with some components created using a 3D printer. View Arduino code You can also download the Arduino LED Fading Library from: https://github.com/tinkersprojects/LED_fade
Stay Up to Date
New parts will be added regularly.
