Side Force Generator (SFG) for RC Plane Wing
thingiverse
Side-force-generator (SFG) for approximately 35" to 37" RC planes dramatically improves yaw authority and keeps aircraft "locked-in" during aerobatic maneuvers, particularly in knife-edge orientation. This SFG was specifically designed for and installed on a TechOne 35" Extra 330 EPP plane. You can see photos of it here: goo.gl/mxSstX. The design can be scaled to fit larger or smaller models. Spacer printing is optional, but you will need some kind of spacer between the wing and SFG, approximately a few millimeters thick is sufficient. Instructions: Reference my diagram to get an idea of how this is applied. Place the spacer between the wing tip and the SFG. Start the spacer at the leading edge of the wing and stop just before the hinge line of the aileron. Align the SFG with the spacer at the leading edge, extending it all the way to the trailing edge of the aileron. The spacer allows the aileron to move freely without interference from making contact with the aileron.
