Sick of Beige Universal Mounting Plate
thingiverse
I've started designing my PCBs with the Dangerous Prototypes Sick of Beige standard sizes in mind, and while testing them out, I got tired of them cluttering up my workbench. To keep them organized and out of the way, I whipped up this project that I can laser-cut. If you have access to a 3D printer, you can use the extruded version and print it yourself - mine is about 3mm thick, which should be more than enough for any needs you might have. All you'll need are four M3 standoffs and eight M3 screws, and you're ready to go! The US equivalent of M3 doesn't matter, anyway, as most countries use these dimensions universally. On mine, I've added some rubber feet near each corner to prevent the PCBs from sliding around when they're loaded down with wires. If that's not your cup of tea, though, you could also try using some of the other mounting holes to attach it to a more substantial surface.
