thingiverse

Aranea Aurisdormienti, commonly known as the Sicilian Ear Spider, is a carnivorous and parasitic spider that takes up residence on host bodies and primarily feeds on ear wax and dried blood. It possesses ten appendages with its rear legs used for anchoring deep within the ear canal and front legs utilized for digging and aiding in the ingestion of food. Adult Sicilian Ear Spiders can grow up to 2.5 inches in width and burrow deeply into the ear when threatened, displaying a remarkable ability to navigate complex anatomical structures. These nocturnal creatures migrate between hosts at night, often producing hallucination-inducing 'songs' within their host's ears. The CAD model of this fascinating creature was originally created for ARK Survival Evolved, but has since been expertly edited and posed using Blender and Meshmixer for 3D printing on Sprintray MoonrayS and Sprintray Pro printers. The medium-density print settings and strong support on Rayware ensure a sturdy and detailed final product. For an added level of accuracy, the model's outer ear scan can be paired with an IOS scan to achieve a precise anatomical fit.
