This is the bottom part of the Orion mounting system only - the upper section does not change whether it be the groove mount, direct, or other. There are</p> <p>There are multiple variants for mounting the hot end and tensioning the piezo. Two mounting methods are provided - heat set brass inserts or self threading screws. While less common, the screws are a signficantly more stable method. The mount can be connected to its base in two ways as well - a traditional, all printed part and an alternate which uses o-rings to help fine tune preload and calibrations. In order to function properly this portion of the Orion mounting system works best with a small amount of flex. PLA is possible but stiffer than desired. Note the upper section should be as stiff as possible.</p> <p>Prints without supports.
