Printing ABS plastic can be hazardous to human health due to its toxic emissions. To mitigate this risk, I have installed a filtration system within the printer enclosure. The initial stage of filtration involves a HEPA filter sourced from Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2105113). This filter is designed to capture 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, effectively removing airborne contaminants generated by the printing process. A second stage of filtration utilizes an active carbon filter, specifically the Siccabo d180 model. To secure this filter in place, I have created custom brackets that fit snugly around it. Additionally, a plug has been provided to fill any gaps at the center of the filter, ensuring a tight seal and maximum effectiveness.
