We dodged a bullet when that nasty thunderstorm rolled through, but it left its mark on our plastic shutters - two of them got torn off the wall in an instant. Luckily, most of the pins held up, but two were torn to shreds and needed some serious TLC. I got creative and designed new replacements from scratch, using outdoor caulk as a makeshift glue to secure them into place. So far, they're withstanding the test of time like pros, blending in seamlessly with the originals - you'd be hard-pressed to tell the difference between the new and old grey PETG shutters.
