Shutter Lid Box "Piccolo"
prusaprinters

This is the smallest member of a series of Shutter Lid Boxes. Really cute and fits in every pocket. For small items like pills, screws, coins, paperclips, etc. The lid stays firm in opened or closed position independent in which direction the box is being held; still it can be opened with one hand. Actually once runned-in, it's really fun to play around with, kind of like a fidget toy.

Check out other models at:

Pen Case: https://www.printables.com/de/model/261162-pen-case-small-item-case-with-shutter-lid

Tool Boxes, Index Cards, etc.: https://www.printables.com/de/model/143995-shutter-box-in-two-sizes

<oembed url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlOrHsRL_kA"></oembed>

Print instructions and assembly:

Print all parts in PLA.
recommended settings:
Box main body: Cut off one side at 3.5 mm, and print @ 0.2mm layer height
Sides: print at @ 0.1mm
Shutter: Good settings crucial for the shutter so that it will turn out flexible but sturdy enough. Make sure every thing lines up well and that there is no glue in the rails.

I used rubber bands to hold it together while the glue was drying.

Once the glue on the box is properly dried, you may add a little grease / silicone spray to the rails. It will make the shutter run smoother.

Carefully put the shutter in place.

Please let me know if you have problems or suggestions to make it better.
