Shure phono cartrige mount
thingiverse
This is a mounting block for a Shure phonograph cartridge, specifically designed for use with an SC35C model, but it should fit most wide-bodied, V-bottom cartridges featuring a 1/2 inch mount, such as the M35, M95E, M97xE and V15VxMR. My original cartridge fell apart into two pieces: the metal body of the cartridge and the plastic mounting block. I decided to create a replacement for several compelling reasons: * The original uses long screws that can cause the body to bow out when tightened, whereas my design incorporates shorter screws. * The original was held together with only two small drops of glue, which ultimately failed, but my replacement provides an angled mounting surface offering more area for the glue to hold securely. * I carefully crafted a minimal lip on the block to ensure alignment while still accommodating a wide range of Shure styli. To cater to different preferences, I designed two versions: one with through holes for screw and nut mounting, and another with tapped-out M2.5 screw holes for a nutless assembly. You may need to adjust the width according to your printer's resolution; I had to trim mine slightly to achieve a perfect fit. I printed this block using orange PLA, but feel free to experiment with different colors to suit your taste.
