<p>This is my first contribution, made the model for a co-worker who requested it and thought I should put it up here and share it.</p> <p>This is designed to be printed with black, then an alternating lighter color, and black again so the "text" layers pop. There is a hollow area in the "head" of Mr. McShrugface to help conserve filament, and also provide some buoyancy should the need arise.</p> <p>This was printed once at reduced scale (thanks to a friend with a new 3D printer and filament to burn), with supports, but was noted that the black supports discolored the lighter color on the face. So it may be a good idea to not print the first layer of black all the way up to the face of the object. This way, any supports that may be used would be the same color as the lighter layer where they touch the "face" of Mr. McShrugface. It could also be printed in one color and painted, or whatever, I don't know...</p> <p>¯_(ツ)_/¯</p> <p>There is a new remix which is split and keyed to be printed a bit easier and then glued together.
