Shroud of Turin Smart Lamp
thingiverse
Using a Xiaomi Yeelight smart light bulb, a cheap e27 lamp holder, the images of the Shroud of Turin, which are said to be covering Jesus at the time of his death and resurrection, and some Python coding, I created a simple smart lamp. I'm eager to share it with those who want a reminder of Jesus at their bedside. It took countless hours to print, but unfortunately, the result wasn't perfect - it failed almost at the end. Still, I'm quite pleased with what I got, and I hope someone with more patience than me can print this as it was intended to be. Check out the YouTube video to see how the lamp is supposed to work and look like. Keep in mind that my print quality was bad, but somehow it gives it an antique look, which is actually okay. Use hot glue to connect the lithopane to the lamp base; the top fits fine without any glue needed. https://youtu.be/RZKKJSb_YIs The total print time exceeded 30 hours. Note: I uploaded the Python code into GitHub as a Google Colab notebook for those who want to create their own lithopane with custom pictures. The code is straightforward, but not particularly clever or tidy. I'll improve it for general consumption if there's enough demand. https://github.com/armindocachada/lithopane-square-lamp
