This was a blast creating this character to test just how small and quick I could sculpt a ball jointed doll. This teeny tiny fairy or sprite is inspired by teeny tiny mushroom caps. Shroomie, the nickname for this little creature, will add a dash of magic to your life (or perhaps a pinch of mischief). This super tiny doll can be a fun companion to any other larger doll. I printed this little guy on my mono select mini printer with 80% infill without support but with a brim to help the small pieces stick to the build plate better. A craft knife will come in handy to clean up the print from support and any blobs. Depending on the material printed with, it can be sanded for a smoother finish or painted for a personalized look. This little guy is a ball jointed doll with very basic and simple single ball joints for 4 points of movement at the shoulders, hips, and neck. The doll also needs to be strung. To string this little buddy, you'll need some thin (1mm thick or less) elastic cord and a small 4mm jump ring. Take two pieces of cord (3-4 inches long) and string one end through a leg hole, across the lower torso holes, then string the other leg. Next, take both ends from each side up through the leg holes and through the torso to neck hole and the lower head hole. Tie tightly onto the jump ring inside the head. Take the second cord and string it through the hand like you would a bead. Then take BOTH ends of the cord through the torso shoulder holes to the other side, then string it through the other hand and tie tightly off. Trim the ends for a neat finish.
