I only have immediate access to 6mm* acrylic, so I decided to convert the ShrimpBot to 6mm. I've made several minor adjustments already. I've modified the axle holes and riser height to fit the motors I own and adjusted the location of the riser holes slightly. I've also drilled new holes for tapping M3 screws to support an arduino UNO and holes using M4 screws to secure the layers together properly. The motors I'm utilizing look like these: http://www.amazon.com/Biaxial-Geared-Motor-Plastic-Tracing/dp/B00HIFOMY0, http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-10-set-Smart-Car-Robot-Plastic-Tire-Wheel-Tyre-DC3-6V-Gear-Motor-For/582096852.html. The acrylic I'm using actually measures a fraction under 6mm. Print Settings Printer: Epilog Mini 24”x12” 40-watt Laser Engraver Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 600 dpi Notes: I've done all of my laser-cutting at the Cleveland Public Library's MakerSpace. The staff there is great, and I'm happy we have such a fantastic resource right downtown. Post-Printing I am ready to start wiring and programming now.
