Shrike Top Plate with SMA Protection
thingiverse
This is my second attempt at safeguarding the very exposed SMA connector on the Shrike, as I realized after printing it that I'm better off designing my own from scratch. The first try highlighted by ADD1CT3DD, positioning of the VTX is going to be a challenge, but I can live with this as long as I'm not breaking my SMA often. Personally, I'm going to use a combo of lock tight and epoxy to position the VTX. There's a 2mm baseplate version which I recommend installing on top of the standard carbon one for a super strong end result, and a 2.5mm one that can be installed on its own. This is a work in progress and feedback is welcome. Rev2 has a 2mm thickness. Rev3 Has a 2.5mm thickness. Rev4 has 25.mm thickness and a little more tolerance for the SMA connection. I'm not in favor of copying any commercially available parts, but since the Shrike is no longer available and the designer is MIA, I feel it's appropriate. If the designer of the Shrike takes offense to this, he's welcome to contact me, and if I'm satisfied that he's serving his customers with replacement parts, I'll gladly take this down.
