The mystical diagram known as Sri Chakra, part of Shri Vidya's school of Hindu tantra, is composed of nine interconnected triangles surrounding a central bindu, representing both cosmos and human form. As a result of its triangular composition, this sacred symbol is also referred to as the Navayoni Chakra due to the total of nine such figures. In a three-dimensional configuration, Sri Yantra takes on the appearance known as Maha Meru, Mount Meru's inspiration coming from the same design element, while other forms derive ultimately from the structure of Sri Yantra.
