The cunning shrew figurine boasts an elongated, cylindrical body, a distinctly set neck, a long snout, minute eyes and ears, exuding natural realism. Its eye whites have been intricately designed with a silvery hue. Measuring approximately 4 x 16.3 x 6.5 cm in size, including pedestal, this ancient relic dates back to the Late period, roughly spanning from 664-332 BC. Along its back, three exquisitely crafted ornaments stretch from head to tail: a majestic winged sun, a soaring winged hawk, and a regal winged vulture. In ancient Letopolis, this shrew was revered as a sacred offering to the mighty falcon god Horus.
