I've been looking for after-market ear pads to upgrade my SHP9500, but I wanted to preserve the original ones just in case. Most current mods require you to strip the original ear pads down to the clips or remove them altogether to replace with new ones. Aaaveritt's YouTube video on SHP9500 modding really got me started - it's an awesome resource! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VW2txDV5UNQ) You can use the clips by themselves, but attaching an extender provides a quick swap system. Just be aware that adding an extender increases depth, which some people may not prefer.
