If you've ever had the thought of swapping out the cushions on your Philips SHP9500 headphones (which aren't exactly made for DIY modifications), these adapters are the way to go. You know how it is with the standard cushions - the retaining ring that comes with them is rather bulky, making it a real challenge to fit in new replacements without risking tears along the way. This little innovation allows you to securely fasten smaller replacement cushions like Brainwavz HM5 pads onto your headphones. Now I know what you're thinking: those tiny rings look flimsy and won't hold up, but I can attest that they work like a charm when printed from standard PLA. They have just the right amount of give to slip smoothly over the retaining clips without being too loose for everyday wear and tear. Initially, I considered creating some special notches for attaching them but ended up taking a different approach: simply carving out the exact circumference required - after all, it's quite obvious that those tiny hooks are actually a ring around a circle. By aligning your adapter rings so their tapers point downwards (away from the speaker) and then snapping them onto place, you can achieve a flawless, snug fit with total peace of mind.
