The code to generate a 3D design with OpenJSCAD uses a complex series of commands in the main() function to create and subtract various shapes. Function main is defined as follows: Main returns a single object which is the result of applying the union operator to several shapes. Cylinder (r = 1, h = 0.3) translates to position [0, 0, 0] and scales in x by a factor of 10, y by a factor of 18 and z by a factor of 10. The result of this operation is then subtracted from the result of another cylinder with r = 1.5 and h = 0.3 translated to position [0, 0, 0] and scaling in x, y and z to match that shape but then scale in the reverse axis as well (ie scaling by -10). This shape is subtracted from a cube (20,20,2) positioned at [-10,10,0]. This first combination of operations then undergoes another round of union operations which takes a new shape. The second part of this function combines these three new shapes to form the object we are creating. Another Cylinder(r = 1,h = 0.35). Translates the cylinder to the correct z position with a translation vector [0,0,-13] in front (x-axis) and behind (z-axis). Next this shape is scaled using multiplication factors of (5*10)*2 for each of x, y and z. So after translating we have scaled along x by 20 then down (negative scaling means that the operation moves points further apart). Subtract cylinder with r = 1 h = 0.35 scale x by -30 and y by -30, at position [5,2] this new combined cylinder undergoes two further subtraction operations. The first cube operation subtracts all areas in space that is covered by this solid but contained inside the combined volume from above. This involves scaling by factors of (-25)*(-20)*(-50). In other words all points within or outside the range -10 through +20, in the z-axis must be deleted as they are covered completely. We have now built two different parts: One consisting only out of three concentric spheres whose diameters span 6 times that radius and which sits directly on top; The Second Part sits below those three spherical objects but extends further downward from there while taking less space above. This combination also adds more subtracted volume. In addition to cubes that fit into the hollow region previously created two further smaller boxes one which does so without removing parts higher than the rest appear around here again here now also. One of these operations applies Z-axis rotations about centerpoint (-22,-9), where other values may indicate possible centers (x,y,z) relative a reference frame. Cube 20 * cube15 First part inverts orientation on top left hand corner relative bottom one -6.4,-8-0 scalefactor (downwards). A single shape remains; now simply rotating Z-axis about (-22,-10) so final position becomes: (-1,13.1). In addition a translation of y-value 14 has occurred which brings all objects back inside limits after being pushed away completely. As this is the end we just get that object without changing scale value at any time!
