Shower panel repair : 3 way selector
thingiverse
If you own one of those "Smart Panel" shower walls from Smart Showers (or another similar retailer of China's designs) and encounter issues with the flow destination selector switch getting stuck, don't worry - it happens! These showers come in various styles but use the same valves. You likely have one if your shower features at least a waterfall, hand shower, and jets. Another giveaway is that the water temperature/flow selector is located on the bottom with a feature selector above it. The problem lies in the fact that whoever manufactures these showers in China uses subpar plastic, which inevitably fails within a few years - my own failed after about 3 years. I've had to disassemble two different versions of the shower (for me and my parents), redesigning the faulty part with a 3-way selector. A larger version for a 4-way selector is also available; simply search for it. If you have questions about how to take your shower apart, feel free to ask - just be cautious not to apply too much force, as the materials used are of extremely poor quality.
