Shower Hose to Garden Spigot adapter
thingiverse
This device connects a standard shower massage wand directly to a garden hose spigot. It serves as a versatile tool for bathing dogs and rinsing off after a pool session. Visually, it outshines its predecessor, a makeshift adapter that I previously relied on. I created the device using my 3D printer, printing it in ABS at 100% infill to ensure maximum strength. However, upon testing under pressure, several pinhole leaks emerged, necessitating an acetone polish to seal any gaps. This process took approximately two hours to complete, resulting in a watertight design. In addition, I designed a quick hose washer using SemiFlex material, but unfortunately, it proved too rigid to create a secure seal. Consequently, I opted for a standard store-bought washer as a replacement. Moving forward, once I obtain some Ninjaflex, which boasts a softer consistency, I intend to recreate the washer and reassess its performance.
