Shower hose barb connector
thingiverse
I recently encountered an issue with my hand-held shower where the handle meets the hose. Upon closer inspection, it became clear that a plastic barb connector was responsible for the problem (see accompanying images). Over time and with repeated use, this connector had begun to deteriorate, causing the breakage. Replacing the entire hose assembly would be quite expensive, around $30+, which seemed excessive considering the inexpensive nature of the failed part, approximately $0.01. Rather than incurring such a high cost, I decided to create an exact replica of the old hose assembly using Fusion 360. Fortunately, the hose assembly itself is relatively straightforward and lacks any unique features, being merely a mass-produced consumer-grade product from China.
