The choice of using a Zortrax brand printer was based on its reputation for producing accurate prints. Specifically, the Zortrax M200 model was selected due to its proven track record of delivering exceptional results. The decision to include rafts in the printing process was made to provide additional stability and support during the build. This feature is especially useful when creating complex designs that require a solid foundation. Supports were intentionally omitted from the design to maintain the hook's structural integrity and prevent any potential warping or distortion. By not including supports, the printed object can be more accurately represented in its final form. A resolution of 0.14mm was chosen to ensure crisp details and a smooth finish on the finished product. This level of precision is particularly important when creating objects that will come into contact with water and other liquids. The infill pattern used for this design was set to high, providing maximum strength and durability to the printed hook. This feature is essential for an object that will be subject to regular use and potential wear and tear. A total build time of 1 hour and 6 minutes was recorded during the printing process. This duration is relatively typical for prints made with a Zortrax M200, given its speed and efficiency. The design was created using SketchUp Make, which allowed for seamless conversion from DXF to 3D model. The software's intuitive interface made it easy to manipulate and refine the design until the desired result was achieved.
