Shower head holder

Shower head holder

thingiverse

I design a temporary solution for a broken shower head holder. To make it I first identify the problematic part of the old one. The area where it attaches to the ring is no good. With this knowledge in mind, I start working on a new model using FreeCAD, giving me an exciting opportunity to test it out. I run into one minor issue, however, which unfortunately copies the problem with the original. Unfortunately, at around 10 degrees vertical movement gets stuck, not nearly enough as ideally it would move up and down 30-40 degrees more, allowing you flexibility when adjusting shower head height for whatever is needed in your shower space. After finalizing design specs, it's off to 3D print this new holder. One option I find works well for the job is printing with about 40% infill, but keep in mind that might not be required – there are definitely options to print at even less if so desired.
