Shower Hair Trimming Caddy
thingiverse
I keep my hair buzzed short and my beard relatively short. This requires frequent trims, which I do in the shower (without the water running) in order to contain the hairy mess it makes. I got tired of holding the mirror with one hand while using the clippers in the other, as well as having to place the clipper blades I'm not currently using down in wet areas, so I decided to design something to solve this problem. This caddy hooks over the shower door and holds the mirror at the appropriate height. It's too tall to print in one go on my printer, so I split it into four parts: * The shower door clip, which slides over the shower door to hold it in place. * The mirror hook which dovetails into the door clip * The base that holds the clippers and the blades * The arm that connects the door clip to the base using compliant snaps I've only used it once so far, but the compliant snaps in the arm are very sturdy and held the weight of the clippers and the blades without problem and it was a much better experience trimming my hair with this caddy. Printing: I printed this in two separate prints. The base alone, then the rest. I used a brim and tree supports. I've included screenshots on how I had them positioned in my slicer. Infill was 10%, layers at .2mm. Printed using Prusament Galaxy Black on my Ender 3 v2.
