When my shower drain clogged, instead of allowing the water to gush below, I used plumbers epoxy to build up its surface. It now functions properly, although the original opening was somewhat irregular in shape. I engineered this cover to perfectly fit into the oddly shaped hole, and also ensure a safe place to stand, while promoting optimal drainage.
