Shower door pivot hinge replacement Free 3D print model

This is the main hinge pivot for a very sturdy shower glass door. The original plastic part, as shown in the second picture, suffered significant damage. With patience, I was able to craft an accurate OpenSCAD model of a replacement component within two hours. Once complete, the 3D printer did its job with remarkable efficiency, churning out the replica in about forty minutes. A strategically placed balance between support and strength was achieved by employing 30% infill density throughout. The part slides seamlessly into place, operating smoothly to this point. While initial assessments are favorable, we shall soon discover the long-term reliability of PLA as a primary material component.
