Human: Shower door Guide - A Quick Fix with My Printrbot When it comes to a simple part like a shower door guide, it can be surprisingly difficult to find one that fits perfectly. That's why I recently had to break out my trusty 3D printer once again. This was a job for the in-laws, so I considered it a fun challenge to tackle on their behalf. Luckily, with some precision printing, I was able to create a new guide that fit like a glove. Here are the print settings I used: Printer: My Printrbot Simple Black Layer settings: * Rafts: No worries - you can skip this one * Supports: Also unnecessary for this project * Resolution: A tiny .3 should be perfect * Infill: I opted for 100% to make sure everything was rock solid Notes from the print process: To ensure a wide brim, I printed these vertically on my bed - meaning the J shape had room to spread out without any issues. This method also made it unnecessary to include any supports, and as an added bonus, printing in this direction can actually strengthen the part when used.
