shower door bracket - towel bar bracket

I've reverse engineered this shower door bracket from the last one that's still standing strong after decades of usage. The original brackets are die cast aluminum, but after 20+ years of constant wear they tend to break apart. Instead of spending $35 on a new pair online, I've chosen to recreate it from ABS plastic myself. I've made some adjustments to the geometry to account for the material's reduced strength compared to aluminum. Once printed, the parts are sanded down and then coated with primer before painting to match your preferred color scheme. Mounting is done using wood screws, which provide a sturdy hold on the door itself. Before attaching the towel bars, I've taken the time to drill out and tap the necessary holes in the bracket for their securing screws. Print this shower door bracket from ABS plastic at high settings. A 90%+ infill percentage should ensure that it's strong enough, and a 0.25mm layer height will yield a smooth finish. Once you've printed your new bracket, give it some attention with a fine sandpaper to remove any rough edges. Next, prime the part and paint it to match the color scheme of your shower. To install, attach the wood screws directly to the door for a secure hold. Finally, drill out the necessary holes in the bracket before inserting the securing screws that hold the towel bars firmly in place.
