A Basic Physically-Based Rendering (PBR) Test for Game Assets. The goal of this test is to verify that a 3D model is correctly exported and imported into our game engine, with accurate texture and material properties applied. This ensures that the final in-game appearance matches the artist's original vision. To pass this test, the following conditions must be met: 1. The asset's color and metallic values match the target values set by the artist. 2. The asset's normal map is correctly exported and imported, with accurate detail and texture. 3. The asset's ambient Occlusion (AO) map is correctly exported and imported, with accurate lighting and shading. 4. The asset's material properties, such as Roughness and Specular, are correctly applied and visible in-game. To perform this test: 1. Load the 3D model into the game engine. 2. Verify that the color and metallic values of the asset match the target values set by the artist. 3. Inspect the normal map to ensure it is accurately exported and imported. 4. Inspect the ambient Occlusion (AO) map to ensure it is correctly exported and imported. 5. Check the material properties, such as Roughness and Specular, to ensure they are correctly applied. Passing this test confirms that the 3D model has been successfully exported and imported into the game engine with accurate texture and material properties applied.
