Shotgun Plug aka Duck Plug

Shotgun Plug aka Duck Plug

My trusty Stevens Model 77h shotgun had gone missing its essential plug. To use my shotgun for small game hunting in Pennsylvania, I needed a plug to limit the gun's capacity to just three shells. A clever solution was to fashion a makeshift plug from a wooden dowel - no need to hunt one down or resort to fiddly 3D printing. Online research revealed that this plug is commonly known as a "duck plug," a requirement for duck hunting as dictated by federal regulations. I designed my plug specifically for my Stevens shotgun, but I suspect it could work just as well on other models. In my experience, the plug has worked flawlessly and remains remarkably silent.
