Shotgun Mic Shock Mount - Easy to Print
thingiverse
This is an easy-to-print Shotgun Mic Shock Mount. It's designed to transform a standard microphone clip base into a highly effective shock absorption device. To build it, you'll need to print two end pieces, one center piece, and one mount piece as shown in the pictures. Additionally, you'll require the base from a microphone clip, which attaches to a mic stand. Please measure your specific microphone clip base beforehand, as not all may have identical dimensions - the standard thickness is 8mm but can be easily sanded down or modified for individual applications. Once printed, glue the ends and mount piece onto the center using CA glue. You'll also need rubber bands for the ends; use as many as necessary to secure your microphone's weight and configuration. Rubber O-rings from a hardware store work well too. Print Settings Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 25-100% depending on application Notes: Ensure the end pieces are aligned in your slicer program with tabs pointing up, and the center piece is printed vertically without supports. Post-Printing Secure the ends and mount piece onto the center using CA glue and attach rubber bands or O-rings for a shock-absorbing microphone holder. How I Designed This OnShape
