Similar to Hoekens' Penny coin-operated opener, this version has a pointed end. This feature enables you to puncture cans for "shotgunning." The original bottle opener is terrific, but its main drawback is that it's usually used with cans rather than bottles. To puncture a can, align the sharp end towards its base and press firmly using your thumb (refer to images on the left).
