Shot Glass Ice Cube Tray Cup Free 3D print model

I came across the concept of a single ice cube tray with multiple compartments and wondered, why not go bigger? After all, most freezer shelves have limited space and accommodating long trays can be a real challenge. Hence, an adjustable tray would make sense. I took matters into my own hands to bring this idea to life by designing a modular ice cube tray system. The result is a set of oval-shaped compartments that not only give users more freedom but also provide additional storage options. Those bottom ridges? Intentional! They were designed for individuals who encounter the frustrating problem of stuck ice cubes due to frosting on older refrigerator shelves. I can remove these frozen items easily using nothing more than a fork or knife, simply by getting something underneath and carefully prying it upwards. As you'd expect from a MakerBot community member, this innovative solution is an integral part of my creative approach to solving real-world problems. I submitted it as an entry into the 2010 MakerBot giveaway hosted by Make: magazine - see for yourself!
