Simple Cap to Convert a Shot Glass into a Fruit Fly Trap To create an effective fruit fly trap using a shot glass, follow these steps: First, fill one-quarter of the glass with a type of alcohol that is suitable for this purpose (such as wine or beer). Then, cap the glass securely. Within 24 hours, you should notice several dead fruit flies inside. To ensure complete elimination of the pests, rinse and repeat the process until they are gone entirely. A revised version of this design, V2, promises to be even easier to print while utilizing less material. Although I have not yet tested it, this updated model shows great potential. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer Model: Tazified Wilson TS Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: 0.2mm Infill Percentage: 20% Notes: This design was printed using PETG material, but any other suitable material should work fine.
