Shorter Faucet Mounting Nut

This mounting nut is specifically designed for faucets with 1/2 inch IPS threading, a standard thread used in the US. The threads on my sink faucet were slightly short due to the thickness of the countertop, so I required a shorter mounting nut. Using the standard nuts that came with the sink resulted in a compression hose that wouldn't tighten fully and leaked. To address this issue, I utilized the Faucet Nut from Nuonaton but modified it to include a design that allows for tightening by hand, rather than just relying on a rounded nut. This ensures that the faucet remains securely tightened. Additionally, I shortened the nut to 13 mm in height, and there are still plenty of threads available for tightening.
