Shortened X Axis Limit Switch Cover
thingiverse
Modified the Ender3 X Axis cover by shortening it roughly 5mm, making room for any size Stepper Motor required for Hangtight's direct drive mod. The primary goal was to allow mounting of a heatsink/fan directly to my pancake stepper motor, and I didn't think the notched version built by xxseven69xx would provide sufficient clearance. The model is a bit rough due to its construction in 3D Builder, but it prints well. It's essential to use supports for the countersunk M3x30 screw holes and don't forget to include washers. I printed with 20% infill in PETG, but more infill might be advisable as this version is a bit weak structurally compared to the original.
