I lengthened the adapter by 4.4mm to ensure a precise fit within the X carriage. Additionally, I smoothed out the clamp on the heatsink with a filet, as the original design was proving stubbornly difficult to install. However, this modification may result in a slightly looser connection than desired. To compensate, you can attempt to fine-tune the fit by wet-sanding the adapter's sides and mating surface.
