No support is needed while printing, and small printers with tiny bed sizes will work just fine (if you have a bed area under 15x15 cm, let me know first so I can send you the right files). Assembling my tracks requires no special tools - just a little bit of know-how. There are plenty of other "LEGO type" tracks out there that you can download and print for free, like this one: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:26734. However, they tend to be trickier to 3D print successfully than my own tracks.
