Short screwdriver handle for magnetic bit adapter
prusaprinters
As the title suggests t's a really short handle made to be used with a magnetic bit holder. I designed it with this size as I wanted something that had the right dimensions to grip it with the whole palm for when you need a lot of force, and at the same time to be able to spin it quicker between just thumb and index without the need to change hand position.Print it with your usual settings, of course since it's basically a sphere thinner layers will give you a smoother surface on the top. It is made to be printed standing without supports, but it may be tricky if you have poor bed adhesion. If using a little more aggressive first layer offset doesn't help you can turn it with the spherical section on the bottom and use supports/raft. An alternative could be still keeping it upside down but lowering the model a little more so that the slicer will cut out a portion of the sphere giving you a flat base.Another problem you may have is getting the right fitment for the bit holder, it's important as it's friction fit. I suggest to print just the first 5-6 mm and abort the print, so that you can try just with that little piece instead of throwing away a full print. Try to set in your slicer a negative offset if it's too tight, or a positive one if it's too loose, and print again just the first few layers until you get the fitment right, then run the whole print with that settings. Or you can decide to purposefully let it sit loose and use some glue. I added the cad model if you want to adapt it to a different adapter or if you want to change the sizing of the hole or anything else!
