Short Pool Cue Holder
thingiverse
I bought a house and got a nice pool table in the deal, which turned out to be an incredible stroke of luck! I had high hopes for it at first, but as I started to set it up, I realized that the pool room is slightly undersized. I'm not one to get frustrated easily, so I decided to get creative with the cues, opting for two shorter ones that might do the trick, even if they don't stay in the rack like I want them to. It was a good idea at first, but it didn't take long before I started noticing a pattern - these shorties kept falling all over the place! That's when it hit me - instead of driving all the way to Home Depot for some makeshift solution from the plumbing aisle, I should think about what tools I already have lying around the house! It took me two nights to brainstorm and redesign something that might just work. And work well enough to be useful in a pinch, even if it's not perfect. \n \n This clever DIY fix was achieved using my trusty Printrbot Simple. I printed the cue nut with extra-strong walls on both top and bottom, at a generous 10% infill rate. For added security, I decided to print the retainer ring solid, knowing that would give me some peace of mind.
